Crystal Care Collection’s newest all-inclusive care home in Somerset, Sherwell Manor in Taunton, has announced the appointment of Marie George as General Manager.
Bringing more than 30 years of experience across healthcare and social care, Marie joins the home with a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
A registered nurse by profession, Marie has enjoyed a diverse and distinguished career, working across a range of healthcare settings including as a forensic nurse practitioner, within Accident & Emergency services in Bristol, at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and in community care services.
Over the past nine years, Marie has transitioned into senior leadership roles within social care, serving as both a Regional Manager and Registered Manager.
Known for her approachable leadership style and unwavering commitment to quality care, Marie is dedicated to creating environments where residents feel empowered to live fulfilling lives.
Marie said, “After more than three decades in care, my passion for supporting people remains as strong as ever. Every resident has their own story and aspirations, and it is a privilege to help create an environment where they can continue to thrive.
“I look forward to working closely with residents, families, colleagues, and the wider community to make Sherwell Manor a place where people feel genuinely cared for.”
Marie and the team at Sherwell Manor are inviting members of the local community to a Grand Opening event on Saturday 18th July. From 2pm-4pm, all will be welcome to tour the new home, take in family friendly entertainment, and enjoy homemade refreshments.
