Introducing Crystal in Bloom, where every garden tells a story.
In Spring 2026, we launched our first Crystal in Bloom competition where our Crystal Care Collection residents, team members, families, and local communities from across England and Wales come together to create inspiring outdoor spaces.
From colourful borders and sensory gardens to welcoming entrances and collaborative community projects, this competition celebrates creativity, teamwork, and the positive impact that gardening can have on wellbeing and daily life within our homes.
Our 2026 categories are…
Best First Impression
Awarded to the garden or outdoor space that creates the warmest welcome and strongest visual impact from the moment you arrive. Judges will look for creativity, presentation, and an inviting atmosphere.
Best Sensory Garden
Celebrating a garden designed to engage the senses and promote wellbeing. This category recognises spaces that thoughtfully incorporate colour, texture, fragrance, sound, and interactive elements.
Best Resident, Team, and Community Effort
This award celebrates gardens created through outstanding teamwork between residents, staff, families, volunteers, and the wider community. Judges will look for evidence of shared involvement, creativity, and community spirit.
Best Border
Awarded to the most beautifully designed and maintained garden border. Judges will be looking for creativity, colour combinations, planting variety, seasonal interest, and overall presentation that enhances the outdoor space.
Most Inviting Garden
Celebrating a garden that residents, visitors, and staff naturally want to spend time in. This category recognises spaces that feel welcoming, comfortable, peaceful, and enjoyable, encouraging relaxation and everyday use.
