Welcome to Heathbrea House, a brand-new, all-inclusive care home in Camborne, Cornwall.
Opening in January 2027, Heathbrea House will provide high-quality, person-led residential, dementia and respite care in a purpose-built home designed around comfort, independence and everyday enjoyment.
Situated in the residential area of Pengegon, Heathbrea House offers a peaceful setting while remaining well connected to the surrounding community. The home is close to Kerrier Way Green Space, nearby woodlands and the historic village of Beacon. The beautiful Cornish coast is also around a 10-minute drive away, offering the perfect balance of residential tranquillity, countryside and coastal living.
Thoughtfully designed to feel warm and welcoming, Heathbrea House will offer light and airy en-suite bedrooms alongside elegant shared spaces where residents can relax, meet friends and family, or enjoy their favourite activities. Residents will be able to spend time in the landscaped gardens, settle down for a film in the cinema, visit the salon, browse the library or enjoy something delicious in the bistro, bar or tearoom.
Each bedroom will also feature Sensio RoomMate, a discreet safety monitoring system designed to provide additional reassurance while supporting residents’ independence, dignity and privacy.
Our experienced team will take the time to understand each resident’s life story, daily routines, interests and preferences. Every care plan will be tailored to the individual and reviewed as their needs change, helping care feel familiar and reassuring from the very first day.
Alongside compassionate care, residents will enjoy freshly prepared, home-cooked meals and a varied programme of activities shaped around their interests. Whether someone enjoys gardening, music, creative activities, gentle exercise, social occasions or a quiet afternoon with a good book, each day will offer opportunities to live well.

Originally from Romania, Catalin graduated as a nurse and began his career supporting and protecting children with disabilities. After moving to the UK five years ago, he continued his journey in care, progressing through leadership roles as Deputy Manager and General Manager within residential care, supporting elderly people, including those living with frailty and dementia.
Caring by nature, Catalin is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel safe, valued and truly at home. He believes excellent care starts with getting to know each person as an individual, while supporting and inspiring colleagues to provide compassionate, person-centred care every day.
Outside of work, Catalin has a love of art, nature and travel. Having lived, worked and travelled extensively around the world, he has developed a genuine appreciation for different cultures, communities and the people who make them unique. After discovering Cornwall, he quickly fell in love with its beautiful surroundings, strong sense of community and, most importantly, its people. It wasn’t long before Cornwall felt like home and became the place where he wanted to put down roots.

We are delighted to introduce Jenna Hancock, Home Administrator at Heathbrea House.
Jenna’s professional background is deeply rooted in care, education, and supporting people with additional needs. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of roles, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher, Phase Leader, Senior Leadership Team member, and Care and Support Worker. Over the years, Jenna has supported children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex needs, neurodivergence, and a wide range of additional support needs.
These experiences have given Jenna a strong understanding of the importance of treating every individual with dignity, compassion, patience, and respect while recognising and celebrating their unique strengths, needs, and personalities.
More recently, Jenna has worked in non-clinical NHS roles, supporting people’s health and wellbeing behind the scenes within primary healthcare settings, including both a GP surgery and dental practice. Jenna is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where residents, relatives, and colleagues feel listened to, valued, and respected.
Outside of work, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of being in Cornwall. A keen rugby fan, she has now retired from playing but previously enjoyed coaching girls’ rugby teams. She also loves exploring Cornwall’s beautiful countryside and coastline and making the most of the place she is fortunate to call home. At home, Jenna is kept entertained by her two cats, Misty and Rusty, who are very much part of the family.
