A new Chingford care home, Kinglea Court, announced their sponsorship of Streetz Ahead Dance Academy at their recent Grand Opening with Deputy Mayor Cllr Andrew Crowley.
A cheque for £500 was presented to the academy during the event, which will go towards the competition teams’ expenses for the Dance World Cup.
The dancers treated guests at the Grand Opening to a spectacular performance, and afterwards enjoyed live music, activities, and fundraising games.
During the day, a fundraiser was also held for Age UK Waltham Forest, raising a total of £297 for the charity’s vital work. Lisa Coombs, General Manager at Kinglea Court said,
“At Kinglea Court, we believe in building strong community connections and supporting initiatives that bring people closer together.
“Streetz Ahead Dance Academy and Age UK Waltham Forest both do incredible work in our area, one inspiring young people through creativity and confidence, the other offering vital support to people in our area. Together, they reflect the caring community spirit we put at the heart of Kinglea Court.”
Residents and team members at Kinglea Court are inviting people in their Chingford community to a special St George’s Day celebration on Thursday 23rd April. From 2:00PM, all are welcome to enjoy an afternoon of music, freshly baked treats and a drink.
