Potter House care home in Yeovil raised £330 for YFW Blood Bikes, an emergency medical motorcycle courier service that provides vital support to the NHS free of charge.

The funds were raised during December through a series of community events, bringing together residents, relatives, staff, and local supporters in the spirit of giving.

YFW Blood Bikes is a volunteer-led organisation that has been supporting the NHS since 1978, delivering urgent medical items between hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Carol Mayers, the General Manager at Potter House care home, said,

“We are incredibly proud of our residents, staff, and the wider community for coming together to support such a vital service. YFW Blood Bikes play an essential role in our healthcare system and knowing that our fundraising will help them continue their lifesaving work makes this achievement especially meaningful.”
