Furze Field Manor care home has announced a new partnership with The Together Project, the national charity behind the successful Crafting Connections programme.
The initiative aims to bring older and younger generations together through creative activities, helping to improve wellbeing and strengthen community connections.
The partnership comes in direct response to feedback from residents, many of whom have expressed how much they enjoy spending time with children.
Through Crafting Connections, residents are paired with a young person and exchange artwork and creative activities through monthly activity packs, allowing friendships to develop over time.
Furze Field Manor is also planning to introduce storytelling sessions in local libraries, creating further opportunities for residents to connect with children and families in the community.

“When we spoke with residents, many told us they would love more opportunities to spend time with children. The Together Project provides a fantastic way to make those connections happen, helping to build friendships across generations and create memorable experiences for everyone involved.”
