Residents and team members at Bowesbury care home in Boulton Moor donated £170 to Derbyshire Mind.
The money was raised during a recent community event held at Bowesbury, where community members joined people in the home for an end of summer celebration.
Joe Heeney MBE, Head of Partnerships and Services at Derbyshire Mind, said, “It was so wonderful for us firstly to be contacted by to invite us to their amazing open day, and then to find that the home was raising funds in aid of Derbyshire Mind as well, to support our work and services was a wonderful surprise too.”
Sarah Francis, General Manager at Bowesbury, added, “Derbyshire Mind is such an important charity in our area, giving people invaluable support and resources.
“We’re so proud to be able to give back, and we’re extremely grateful to be surrounded by such a generous community who helped us to raise this amount.”
