Fairwood Fields care home in Pontefract are inviting local people to a World Cup themed celebration of Care Home Open Week on Saturday 20th June, free of charge.
Care Home Open Week, organised by Championing Social Care, encourages care homes across the UK to connect with people in their areas.
With this year’s Care Home Open Week theme being The World Cup, Fairwood Fields will be throwing a family-friendly football fiesta for all from 2pm-4pm, including:
- A viewing of the 1966 World Cup game in the cinema
- Football training sessions
- Nibbles tasting from around the world
- A ‘Design Your Own Kit’ competition
- A ‘Guess the Player’ competition
- Pub-style football quizzes at 2:30pm, 3pm, and 3:30pm
Lynn Robinson, the General Manager at Fairwood Fields, said, “We’re so excited to welcome everyone to Fairwood Fields to celebrate The World Cup!
“We’ll have something for everyone, whether you’re a football fanatic or you just fancy an afternoon out with the kids – all are welcome.”
