The team behind Ellesmere Port’s newest care home, Willowmere Lodge, officially received the keys to the state-of-the-art development this week, marking a major milestone ahead of its opening.
Led by General Manager Lorraine Purvor, the team celebrated the handover of the purpose-built care home, which has been designed to provide high-quality, person-led care in a modern and welcoming environment.
Willowmere Lodge features 66 en-suite bedrooms, private dining spaces, a cinema room, beauty salon and the latest care technology to support residents’ wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
Every bedroom is equipped with Sensio RoomMate, an innovative safety monitoring system that preserves residents’ privacy, dignity and independence.
The official handover from LNT Care Developments signals the beginning of the final preparations before welcoming the home’s first residents.
Lorraine said: “Receiving the keys to Willowmere Lodge is an exciting moment for our entire team. We are looking forward to opening our doors and creating a supportive community where residents can live well.
“Our aim is to provide exceptional care alongside meaningful opportunities for connection and fulfilment. Through initiatives such as our Community Tree programme, we will work closely with local schools, organisations and charities to ensure residents remain at the heart of the Ellesmere Port community.”
Willowmere Lodge is now open to the public for private tours and will be holding a ‘Day at the Races’ themed Grand Opening celebration for the community on Saturday 29th August. All will be welcome to enjoy live music, refreshments, entertainment, and games in aid of Cambridge Road Community Primary and Nursery School.
