Care Home in Clitheroe Celebrated Pride with Daytime Disco

25 June 2026 Middleshaw Hills

Residents and team members at Middleshaw Hills care home in Clitheroe held a community daytime disco to celebrate Pride month.

As part of the home’s weekly ‘Friendship Friday’ community event, Middleshaw Hill’s lounge was filled with rainbow decorations and music to celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride Month.

Residents and guests hit the dancefloor, decorated their own rainbow cupcakes, and discussed the importance of equality and acceptance.

90-year-old resident Sheila Ball said, “I thoroughly enjoyed the disco, and it was great to see everybody enjoying themselves.”

Charlotte Pardon, the General Manager at Middleshaw Hills, added, “At Middleshaw Hills, we pride ourselves on promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. At our Pride disco we discussed the importance of acceptance and the message that love is love.

“The event also provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the many different sexual orientations and identities, while highlighting our commitment to supporting and celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community – everyone is always welcome at Middleshaw Hills.”

Middleshaw Hills is now getting ready for it’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Summer Fair on Saturday 15th August. From 11:00, all will be welcome for a day filled with wild west fun, including live music, themes games, stalls, a BBQ and much more.
