Bradshaw Lodge Care Home in Bognor Regis Backs Local Bowls Club

6 October 2026 Bradshaw Lodge

Bradshaw Lodge Care Home in Bognor Regis is celebrating a partnership with Aldingbourne Bowls Club, helping to support a local organisation that is enjoying remarkable success both on and off the green.

Over the past three years, Aldingbourne Bowls Club has grown from having just one team competing to fielding teams in three league competitions this summer, winning two leagues and performing strongly in a third.

The club also enjoyed impressive runs in several cup competitions, reaching the latter stages of each, while several of its players continue to represent Sussex at county level.

Aligning with Bradshaw Lodge’s values, the club is proud of its commitment to inclusion and community. Members in the early stages of dementia are paired with a bowling “buddy” who helps them stay involved in both sporting and social events, while the club is also home to the Beavers, a group of blind and partially sighted bowlers.

Mick O’Connor, the Fixtures Secretary, said, “Because of the matched commitment to the local community, the team is particularly pleased to be associated with Bradshaw Lodge and very grateful for their kind patronage.”

Chrissy Terry, the Customer Relations Manager at Bradshaw Lodge, said, “We’re delighted to partner with Aldingbourne Bowls Club and to connect with such a welcoming, inclusive and community-focused club.

“We’re looking forward to working together to bring local residents along to events, get involved in the club’s activities and, most importantly, have a go at bowling!”

You can find out more about community projects and life at Bradshaw Lodge at the homes weekly Coffee Morning from 10AM-11:30AM.
