Merceode Lodge care home in Marchwood recently raised £313 for Twiggs Lane Preschool during the home’s community Summer Fete.
Twiggs Lane Preschool is a charity-run school, doing fantastic work supporting children and families within our local community.
Held in the care home on Hythe Road, the Summer Fete saw local people gather to enjoy homemade fancy dress, food, live music, and games for all ages.
Conor McManus, the Care Manager at Merceode Lodge, said, “Our Summer Fete was a fantastic example of what can happen when community comes together. We are so proud to have raised this incredible amount for Twiggs Lane Preschool.
“A huge thank you to everyone who supported us on the day, donated, and helped to make the event so memorable!”
Twiggs Lane Preschool Manager, Becky Copeland, added, “We all thoroughly enjoy our visits to Merceode Lodge and are very lucky to have this opportunity.
“Something truly special happens when our preschool children and residents share stories, laughter, and play. This reminds us how powerful intergenerational friendships can be. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly and for your incredible fundraising support this summer. We are going to put the money towards our new sensory room and garden for the children to explore and enjoy.”
