Sue Monger
General Manager
Sue Monger
General Manager
Sue started her career in care at the age of 17 working in a care home, before going on to start her career in nursing, qualifying as both a general nurse and a psychiatric nurse – where she went on to work on acute psychiatric wards. It was here that Sue developed extensive experience in caring for people with complex mental health needs in demanding clinical environments.
As her career progressed, Sue was promoted to Community Psychiatric Nurse working in the local community, supporting a wide range of people and broadening her understanding of person-centred care. This strengthened Sue’s commitment to helping people maintain their wellbeing and independence.
Building on the clinical and community experience, Sue went on to manage her first care home in the local community, supporting people with long-term mental health needs and going on to later manage a larger care home for people living with dementia. This experience inspired Sue to deepen her knowledge and she went on to attain a Diploma in Dementia Care.
After being promoted to Area Manager, Sue had oversight of a number of care homes across the South West, enabling her to support multiple services, influence their leadership teams and promote consistently high standards of care – before moving into the role of Training Manager. It was here Sue managed a team of trainers and inspired care home staff to deliver the best possible care, sharing experiences, supporting professional development and encouraging others to place compassion and quality at the heart of their practice.
After a period of time, Sue felt pulled back to the care home sector and returned to managing a number of large care homes in the South, bringing with her experience in nursing, mental health, dementia care, operational leadership and staff development – before joining Potter House Care Home.
Throughout her life and career, Sue has been inspired by her grandmother and by the many people she has met along the way, reminding her that true care is about giving your heart and soul to everything you do.

Jasmin Cockwell
Care Manager
Jasmin Cockwell
Care Manager
Jasmin brings over 15 years of experience in health and social care to her role as Care Manager at Potter House, with a varied background spanning residential care, domiciliary care and independent living.
She holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care, has completed IOSH training and is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider. Jasmin is particularly passionate about wellbeing – not only for residents, but for the teams who care for them too.
For Jasmin, good care is about so much more than meeting someone’s day-to-day needs. She believes in getting to know the person behind the care plan – their story, their personality, what makes them laugh and, most importantly, what matters to them.
Jasmin loves creating a home where residents feel safe, valued and genuinely at home, while building a positive team culture where staff feel supported, appreciated and proud of the care they provide.
Outside of work, Jasmin enjoys spending time with her family, making memories, getting out and about and, when she gets the chance, enjoying a little bit of retail therapy! She describes herself as approachable, caring and always up for a laugh – and firmly believes that a good cup of tea can solve most things!
Sam Cameron
Home Administrator
Sam Cameron
Home Administrator
Sam has worked in administration for over 35 years, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of sectors, both in the UK and abroad. She was fortunate enough to live and work in Morocco, where she developed a real appreciation for different cultures and languages and became fluent in both French and Moroccan Arabic.
After many years working in administration, Sam moved into the care sector five years ago, initially working in domiciliary care following lockdown. She then progressed into an Office Manager role, combining her extensive administrative experience with her growing passion for care. From there, Sam took on a Care Coordinator role at a care home close to home before moving into an Administrator position within the same home.
Looking for a new challenge and a role that would bring even greater job satisfaction, Sam discovered Potter House. As our Home Administrator, Sam brings a wealth of experience, excellent organisational skills and, most importantly, her enthusiasm for working as part of a team. She is particularly excited to get to know the residents, their families and her new colleagues, and to play a part in creating a welcoming and supportive environment at Potter House.
Outside of work, Sam is a very proud mum to four children — two girls and two boys — ranging in age from 28 to 11.
