Summer Fete Raises £400 for Littlehampton Royal National Lifeboat Institution

21 July 2026 Bradshaw Lodge

Bradshaw Lodge care home in Bognor Regis welcomed residents, families and members of the local community for a fun filled ‘Beside the Seaside’ Summer Fete, raising £400 for Littlehampton RNLI.

The care home was transformed into a traditional British seaside attraction, with guests enjoying an afternoon packed with entertainment, activities and delicious food.

Visitors enjoyed live seaside-inspired music, a classic Punch and Judy show, and a performance from a Little Lyrics choir. Families and children enjoyed a variety of traditional fete games and activities, including face painting, a coconut shy, hook-a-duck, arts and crafts, and a petting farm.

No seaside celebration would be complete without fish and chips, which proved very popular with guests.

The event also featured a raffle, which raised an impressive £400 for Littlehampton RNLI, helping to support the charity’s vital lifesaving work along the coast.

84-year-old Bradshaw Lodge resident, Peter Wells, said, “I had a wonderful day! A big thank you to everyone who made the event a great success.”

Teresa May, the General Manager at Bradshaw Lodge, added, “We’re so grateful for everybody who came along to our Summer Fete. The entire day was incredible and we’re so happy to be able to donate such an amazing amount to Littlehampton RNLI.”

Bradshaw Lodge are now teaming up with Health and Independent Living Support and Age UK to offer a Cream Tea event, free of charge. The event will also be an informational session about services available to people in the area. Hosted at Bradshaw Lodge, guests will be served a cream tea and have opportunities to learn about each service.

The Cream Tea event will take place on Thursday 13th August from 10:00-12:00 at Bradshaw Lodge care home, Shripney Road, Bognor Regis, PO22 9PA.
