New Chingford Care Home Appoints Experienced General Manager

20 January 2026 Kinglea Court

Kinglea Court, a new residential care home in Chingford, has announced the appointment of Lisa Coombs as its General Manager.

Set to open in February 2026, Kinglea Court will offer residential, dementia and respite care for up to 66 older people.

Lisa brings more than 13 years of experience in the care sector, including a decade as a Registered Manager, and a strong reputation for delivering outstanding, high-quality care.

Lisa began her career in care at the age of 18 after supporting a loved one – an experience that shaped her lifelong passion for caring for older people and supporting their families.

She progressed from a Healthcare Assistant through dedication, resilience, and strong leadership, developing a deep understanding of care delivery at every level.

In 2019, Lisa led a service to achieve an Outstanding CQC rating, making it the only care home in the London boroughs for people over 65 to receive this recognition at the time.

She is committed to supporting colleagues at every stage of their journey and believes that strong, motivated teams are key to delivering exceptional care.

Building trusted relationships is central to her leadership approach, and she works closely with local local businesses to foster meaningful community connections. With extensive landscaped gardens, including two onsite ponds, Lisa is especially keen to form relationships with environmental and wildlife groups.

Lisa said, “My focus is on delivering the highest standards of care while creating a home where residents feel valued and supported. I’m passionate about empowering teams and building strong relationships with families and the wider community, and I look forward to making Kinglea Court a place people trust and feel proud of.”

Kinglea Court is located on Sewardstone Road, Chingford, E4 7RE. To find out more about living at Kinglea Court, call 020 8153 3556, or email [email protected].
