Residents and team members at Lake View Lodge care home in Halling recently raised £327 for The Brain Tumour Charity.
Throughout March and April, Lake View Lodge residents, team members, families and friends came together for various fundraising events, including an Easter Fayre, ‘Wear a Hat to Work Day’, and ‘Wear Your Pyjamas Day’.
Resident Christine Laraman said, “I loved taking part in the ‘Wear a Hat Day’ and the pyjama day too. I always like to get involved in all the events in the home, it makes me feel happy taking part.”
Kelly Cooper, the Care Manager at Lake View Lodge, added, “Seeing our entire community come together to have a bit of fun and support The Brain Tumour Charity has been really special.
“Being able to offer a helping hand to such an important cause means a lot to us, and we’d like to thank everyone who contributed to our fundraising efforts.”
Lake View Lodge will soon be hosting a tea party in aid of Dementia UK’s Time for a Cuppa on Tuesday 5th May. From 11:00am – 12:30pm, all will be welcome to enjoy a cake sale, games, and refreshments.
