Derbyshire Care Home Becomes Drop-Off Point for Doorways Derby

20 January 2026 Bowesbury

Bowesbury care home in Boulton Moor, Derbyshire, has set up a drop-off point in the foyer of the care home for Doorways Derby, a local volunteer-run foodbank.

Residents, families, staff, and members of the public can now donate non-perishable food items and essential household supplies directly at the care home. All donations will go to Doorways Derby, which provides vital support to individuals in crisis across the area.

You can also see the charity’s Amazon Wishlist here for guidance.

Denise Spencer, the General Manager at Bowesbury, said,

“Community is at the heart of everything we do at Bowesbury, and helping this incredible charity allows us to give something back. We know how important the foodbank’s work is for people across Derby, and we’re proud to do our part to help.”

You can drop off donations at any time at Bowesbury, 89 Bowes Road, Boulton Moor, Derby DE24 5BZ, or come along to the home’s Open Day in aid of Sight Support Derbyshire on Saturday 28th February from 11:00 for a day filled with family fun.

Special guest, television’s Anthea Turner, will be in attendance to meet guests and raise money for the worthy cause.
