Crystal Care Collection has announced an upcoming care home, Sherwell Manor, a purpose‑built home in Taunton which will provide high‑quality residential and dementia care in Somerset.
According to Christie & Co, in Somerset, demand for elderly care home beds is forecast to rise from around 6,500 places today to more than 8,800 by 2035, yet the county has lost beds in recent years as older homes have closed.
In addition, out of the circa 175 care homes in Somerset, only around one‑third of these are purpose‑built buildings designed for today’s care needs.

Once the home is fully occupied, circa 60 new roles will be created, including care, housekeeping, catering, management and activities team members.
