Woodland View Lodge, a purpose-built residential and dementia care home in Exeter, has announced the appointment of Hazel McGwyne as its General Manager.
With over four decades of experience in health care settings with the NHS, private sector, and internationally, Hazel is a Registered Nurse and has a degree in Health Service Management.
Voted Care Home Manager of the Year at the National Care Awards in 2022, Hazel has supported her previous care homes to achieve ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ CQC ratings
Hazel said, “I have been lucky enough to work with many inspirational leaders, and I’ve adopted their ideas and qualities to form my own unique leadership style. Having developed my skills over the years in various senior roles, being a General Manager of a care home is the role that makes me most proud.
“It’s been a pleasure to get to know the residents and team at Woodland View Lodge, and I look forward to meeting our Exeter community members. My door is always open!”
Hazel and the team at Woodland View Lodge are inviting all to a community Meet the Manager event, where everyone is welcome to come along, enjoy cheese and wine, and ask any questions they may have.
The Meet the Manager event will take place on Wednesday 11th March from 18:00 at Woodland View Lodge care home, Dutchbarn Lane, Exeter, EX2 7PW.
