A new care home is coming to Eastbourne, promising to raise the bar for quality care while putting sustainability firmly at the forefront of its design.
Maris View, a newly built care home operated by Crystal Care Collection, is set to open its doors in Spring 2026, bringing much-needed residential, dementia and respite care to the local community.
Designed to feel more like a modern coastal retreat than a traditional care setting, the home will support up to 66 residents.
Every bedroom at Maris View will feature its own ensuite wet room, while an all-inclusive fee structure has been introduced to give families complete clarity and reassurance, with no hidden or unexpected costs.
The home has been purpose-built to significantly reduce its environmental impact, aligning with growing demand across the South East for greener, more responsible development.
Key sustainability features include:
- Photovoltaic solar panels generating a substantial proportion of the home’s electricity.
- Advanced battery storage systems to maximise energy efficiency and reduce reliance on the grid.
- Carefully selected sustainable building materials, chosen for their low environmental impact and excellent thermal performance.
- Ground source heat pump technology, using natural heat from the earth to cut carbon emissions.
- Energy-efficient LED lighting with motion sensors throughout the home.
- Integrated water-saving measures that improve efficiency without compromising comfort.
