Simon has worked in the care sector all his life. With a background in Psychology and Counselling, he has over 24 years of experience in managing care homes. Simon has a real passion for creating care homes that are warm, friendly and encourage residents to live their best lives. Leading by example and supporting the team to live by the Crystal Care Collection values, Simon wants to create a wonderful place that residents can truly call home. Simon is a Dementia Mapper and recently won the Northwest Region for Dementia Carer category in the Great British Care Awards 2024. Outside of work Simon has a number of interests – he is a keen artist, mostly watercolour and ink work, and also regularly practises mindfulness and meditation.

Outside of work, Rachael enjoys quality time with family and friends, socialising, making memories, and escaping for sunshine—whether it’s a summer getaway or a winter break.
