When you move into a Crystal Collection care home, it’s really important to us that you settle in easily. So, we’d recommend bringing items that make your room feel like home, such as photos, favourite books, and trinkets. You’ll also need to bring personal toiletries and clothes. Your room comes fully furnished, including a TV and mini fridge, so no need to bring any of those. If you do have a special piece of furniture have a chat with the home team to see if we can help you bring it with you.
We understand how important it is to have trust in the team caring for your loved ones. That’s why our dedicated team is here to provide a helping hand with personal care, managing medication, and continence care. And for those little extra needs, we have district nurses on hand to assist with bandages, insulin management, and more.
We’re proud to offer a comprehensive range of care services designed to meet your needs, including:
Residential care
For individuals who need support with daily activities but wish to maintain as much independence as possible in a comfortable and safe environment.
Dementia care
Specialised care tailored to residents living with dementia, focusing on creating a secure and supportive atmosphere that promotes cognitive function and quality of life.
Respite care
Short-term care options for those who need temporary support, perhaps to recover from an illness or to provide a break for primary caregivers.
Navigating the waters of care home funding can seem a bit complicated. There’s lots of information available and our team are on hand to help you find the right advice for your circumstances. Very simply though, if you’re living in England and have savings or assets exceeding £23,250, you’ll need to take care of the care home costs yourself. But if your assets fall below that mark, your local authority will lend a helping hand.
Dip your toes in first – come and explore our home, share a meal with us, meet the team and see the facilities. We’re always here and delighted to welcome you anytime. When you’re ready to take the next step, our care team would love to sit down with you for a chat. This isn’t a test, just a chance for us to understand your care and medication needs. And don’t worry, getting to know your favourite things (and those you’re not so keen on!) comes a bit later. Once we’ve had our chat, we’ll go through some simple paperwork together and pick a move-in date that works for you.
It can vary from a few days to a few weeks, so if you’re not ready to make a decision just yet, that’s perfectly fine. You can reserve a room or sign up for regular updates about room availability, allowing you to take the time you need. However, if things need to move quickly, we’re ready for that too. We can organise same-day assessments and speedy admissions where possible. Rest assured, we’re here to match your pace.
We know that figuring out how to pay for care can be a bit tricky. That’s why at Crystal Care Collection, we’re committed to keeping things clear and easy-to-understand, giving you peace of mind. Our all-inclusive fee, which varies from home to home, is competitively priced, and we make sure it’s always visible on our website, included in our brochure, and readily available when speaking to our teams. Plus, the fee won’t increase even if care needs do change. Of course, we’ll be upfront about the fact that there might be an annual increase due to inflation, but we’ll always keep you in the loop.
