Estuary Gardens Care Home, Deeside, ‘Wears It Pink’ to Support Breast Cancer Now

5 November 2025 Estuary Gardens

Team members and local visitors came together at Estuary Gardens Care Home in Deeside, part of Crystal Care Collection, to support Breast Cancer Now as part of the national Wear It Pink Day campaign, raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research while celebrating community spirit in true Estuary Gardens style.

It was a lively afternoon filled with entertainment, games, delicious food and tours of the home. Guests enjoyed a stunning grazing table prepared by the head chef, homemade cakes, non-alcoholic fizz and a range of fun activities including music bingo, “guess the sweets in the jar,” and more – all led by the home’s Wellbeing Manager.

The event raised £82 for Breast Cancer Now and welcomed local councillor Linda Thomas and community fundraiser Pauline Ellis, who has proudly supported local charities for over 26 years.

Simon Doherty, General Manager at Estuary Gardens, said:

“We’re so proud to have hosted another community event in support of such an important cause. The atmosphere was wonderful – full of laughter, warmth and generosity. A huge thank you to our brilliant team, and to the local community for their continued support. At Estuary Gardens, we believe in creating a true sense of home, a place where everyone feels welcome and part of something meaningful. Events like this show exactly what that looks like.”

The Wear It Pink event follows Estuary Gardens’ recent success with their Macmillan Coffee Morning, continuing the home’s commitment to supporting national charities and bringing people together across the Deeside community.
