Staff members at Ponbay Lodge care home in Hastings raised £575 during the Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.
Donned in pink, Wendy Bennett (Lifestyle Assistant) and Mandy Dawson (Care Assistant) completed the 3K race, while Graham Liley (Chef) completed a 5K race in support of breast cancer research.
Supporting their own, Ponbay Lodge residents and team members decorated the home with balloons and bunting to cheer the trio on.
Care Assistant Wendy said, “I have friends and family who have been affected by cancer, so doing the Race for Life means a lot to me. It was a challenge for me, but I’m so happy I did it.
“Next year, I plan to beat my time and raise even more money for Cancer Research UK. Thank you to everyone who donated and offered support!”
Zac Hampshire-Jones, the General Manager at Ponbay Lodge, added, “Everyone at Ponbay Lodge is incredibly proud of Wendy, Mandy, and Graham. They have raised an amazing amount of money for Cancer Research UK, a life-saving charity.”
